He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of
Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee in 1993 and completed his Internal
Medicine Residency at the University of California at San Diego Medical Center in 1996.
Dr. Maxa is also certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
